Potato Chip...

Went hiking today with the girls. We headed up to Poway early this morning to beat the heat as we attempted to conquer the treacherous 8 mile hike that is Mt. Woodson. Our goal? To make it to in infamous "potato chip rock" for a photo op.
The hike got a little intense at times but it was well worth the view. Here are some pics of our journey :)

DIY!

So I did a lil' DIY project this weekend when I took my dining room chairs and have them a lil update. It was fairly easy :)

All that was needed was
Fabric of choice (I used 2 yards)
Screwdriver/drill
Scissors
Staple gun

1st, I had to flip the chairs over and remover the screws in order to remove the cushions from the chairs.
Next, I measured my fabric and made sure to have enough to completely cover the sides and cut it accordingly..
Finally, I made sure the fabric was straight before using the staple gun to tightly secure the material.
I then took the cushion and screws it back into the chair!

Banksy Strikes Again!

Its been a while since I've last posted being caught up with all the other mediums out there such as Twitter,Pinterest, and Instagram but when I saw this online, I knew I had to come back and blog it up.

Look who's back!
Banksy
These were seen in and around London recently.  Interesting to see his take of the games.  I wonder if we'll be seeing more throughout the games.  I hope so!
Only a few days left until the opening ceremony!
Can't Wait.

She Sells Sea Shells

By The Sea Shore! La Jolla Shores that is.  Well Scripps Pier but whateves.  I had a friend in town yesterday and we met up in the afternoon to do some tide poolin'! It was a great little adventure.  We headed north of the pier to do some treasure hunting and oh what treasures we found! It started small with a couple of hermit crabs and then we hit the jackpot when we found about ten or so starfish the size of our heads! Biggest I've ever seen in nature! So cool.  These are just some of the pics! Can't wait to do it again!

Straight Trippin'

Here are a few pics from my trip to Chi Town. I lucked out while there as the weather us in the high 70's to low 80's which is unheard of for Chicago this time of the year! Luckily I packed ONE pair of shorts which saved my life! Below are some pics from Willis Tower (formally Sears),  the Navy Pier, and Millennium Park. I had such an amazing time while there I can't wait to go back and possibly catch a ball game now that opening day is upon us!

Ride of Our Lives!

So last Sunday Amanda and I were getting a little lunch down in good ole Pacific Beach when we inquired with our bartender about a golf cart that we had seen driving patrons of their restaurant around the beach area... He explained that the restaurant owned the cart and that they pick up/take customers to their next destination.  So of course we thought to ourselves "we have to do this!"  We then asked the bartender if he could schedule us a lift down the street to our next destination (2 blocks down!) lol. He said "of course."  Five minutes later the cart came up to the front door and asked if we were ready for our ride? We eagerly said yes!  He asked where we were going, and we said down the street... but of course we asked if we could go the 'long way'? He enthusiastically replied, "you wanna go the long way? Okay, here we go!"  That's when it all took place, Amanda and I were hanging off the back of the cart for dear life as we sped through the beach town en route to our next destination.  It was probably the highlight of my weekend.  Somehow while clutching to my seat, I managed to take a little bit of footage from our ride without dropping my belongings. Best ride ever!

I want to thank our friend Brian Kirby for coming up with this piece of gold.
Its short but sweet! Enjoy!

Rats!

So my pal Tina and I took a ferry from the Harbor in SD over to Coronado for a little adventure yesterday... Whilst in line for the ferry I spotted this little gem on a side door or one of the buildings along the dock.
It could possibly be a Banksy buuut it could also be an imitator. I guess we'll never know! Still rad nonetheless.
